If you but trust in God to guide you (Hymn 769) Wer our den Lieben Gott Lasst Walten
Georg Neumark wrote this hymn, text and tune, in the winter of 1640-1641 with the subtitle A song of comfort.  That God, in his own time, will care for and preserve His own after the verse ‘Cast thy burden on the Lord, and he shall sustain thee, Psalm 55:22.  Johann Sebastian Bach used it in no less than 8 cantatas (21, 27, 84, 88 93, 166, 179, and 197).  He also wrote several organ chorales (organ music based on a chorale/hymn tune).

This is a wonderful adaptation for instrumental ensemble. Listen to the whole album – it’s terrific.
