youth

“Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”

1 TIMOTHY 4:12

Confirmation is an important rite of passage for youth in the Lutheran Church. Typically beginning in 7th grade, this two-year-long curriculum gives students a strong foundation to understand and engage with the faith into which they were baptized. Primary components include learning, worship and service. Much of the learning is based on Luther’s Small Catechism. The church provides teaching by the pastors and a faith mentor for each student. New England woods with orange leaves in the autumn

We take occasional trips to Calumet, the amazing camp in New Hampshire where faith is encouraged and grows. Sunday School weekends, ski trips, and confirmation camps are great weekend getaways.

(And yes, there are adult programs too!)
