Time after Pentecost
We are now in the liturgical season called the Time After Pentecost, also known as Ordinary Time. As our weather warms, our gardens begin to thrive, and the visitors arrive, we see the glory of God’s creation all around us. This is the time to watch for the Holy Spirit moving in our midst. It is also time for the ordinary work of loving God, loving neighbor, and loving ourselves. It is time for celebrating how God takes the ordinary and makes it extraordinary — water that washes away sin and brings new life; bread and wine that feed our bodies and souls; using ordinary people for the work of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ to every avenue of our lives.
